3. Third-Party Service Providers

3.1 Speech-to-Text Processing

• What is shared: Voice audio chunks recorded during live calls
• Purpose: Converting your speech to text (transcription) in real-time
• Data handling: Audio is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored by our transcription providers

3.2 AI Language Analysis

• What is shared: Call transcripts (text only, not audio) along with participant display names
• Purpose: Analyzing grammar, vocabulary, and fluency; generating corrections and educational feedback; scoring participants
• Data handling: Text is processed per-request and is subject to strict data handling and confidentiality agreements. This data is not used to train public AI models.

3.3 Real-Time Communication Infrastructure

• What is shared: Real-time audio streams during calls
• Purpose: Facilitating peer-to-peer voice communication
• Data handling: Audio streams are relayed in real-time and are not stored by our communication infrastructure providers

4. Data Storage and Security

• Database: Your account data, profile information, call history, and AI analysis results are stored securely in cloud-based databases hosted by our infrastructure providers
• Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (e.g., TLS/HTTPS)
• Password security: Passwords are hashed using strong, industry-standard cryptographic algorithms before storage; we never store plain-text passwords
• Avatar storage: Profile photos are stored securely on our servers and served over encrypted connections

5. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained as long as your account is active
• Call history and analysis: Retained as long as your account is active so you can review past performance
• Voice audio: Processed in real-time for transcription and NOT permanently stored on our servers
• Transcripts: Stored as part of call analysis results for your review

6. Your Rights

6.1 Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time through the App:

Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your user profile and all personal information
• All call history and associated AI analysis results
• Your profile photo (avatar file)

6.2 Additional Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights under applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR or CCPA):

• Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to correction: Update or correct inaccurate personal data via the Edit Profile screen
• Right to deletion: Delete your account and all associated data
• Right to object: Object to the processing of your personal data
• Right to portability: Request your data in a portable format

7. Children's Privacy

LingoNexus is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
